What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Crong Hybrid Matte Magnetic MagSafe case for Xiaomi...

Description

Crong Hybrid Matte Magnetic is a pink semi-transparent protective case made for Xiaomi 17. Its polycarbonate construction has a matte anti-fingerprint surface that helps make smudges less visible. Reinforced corners and raised borders around the screen and camera add separation from flat surfaces, while integrated button covers and precisely placed port openings preserve everyday access. The magnetic ring contains 30 N52 magnets and a positioning magnet for compatible MagSafe accessories.

Magnetic attachment and wireless charging performance depend on the accessory, charger and alignment; compatibility does not promise a particular charging rate. Check that an attached accessory is secure before lifting the phone. The case helps reduce exposure to ordinary knocks, scratches and dirt, but it cannot prevent every kind of damage.
