What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Moshi iGlaze is a clear hybrid case shaped specifically for iPhone 14 Plus, with Sunset Gold accents. A scratch-resistant polycarbonate back shows the phone colour, while a shock-absorbing TPU rim surrounds the sides and corners.

An anodized-aluminium surround protects the raised camera area, and matching integrated aluminium covers retain access to the side buttons.
The raised display rim helps keep the screen away from a flat tabletop.
MicroGrid treatment is intended to slow visible yellowing of the clear material rather than promise permanent clarity.
An integrated magnetic ring aligns compatible MagSafe accessories; the case also supports Qi charging with suitable equipment, and actual charging performance depends on the charger, device and power source.

The package contains one clear Moshi iGlaze case with Sunset Gold accents. The iPhone, charger and MagSafe accessories are not included.
